Wellspring Holistic Center – Living Prayers

My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.

Friends on the Journey,

Louise and I wonder what to say to one another and to you at this moment in time? We stand with our fellow humans and we say that Black Lives Matter and that we can no longer be silent. We must learn how to listen, open our hearts to our own racism, and we must change. It is the only thing that matters now.

We have a powerful story of healing and transformation that involves the Ho’oponopono prayer and our Uncle Bruno. It showed us the power of praying for forgiveness and reconciliation using this ancient form. We invite you to join us daily as we pray together. We know we have work to do. We are listening, we are learning, and we are taking steps.

( Hooponopono is an ancient Hawaiian practice for forgiveness and reconciliation. It’s more than the prayer alone; it’s a process of making things right in your relationships — with others, ancestors, the earth, yourself.)

The prayer is simple: I am sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.

If you would like to feel it deeply within your body, here is an offering:

  1. As you say, I am sorry place both hands on your heart and feel compassion.
  2. As you say, Please forgive me take a moment to notice the responses of your body as you allow the energy of forgiveness into your heart.
  3. As you say, I love you ask your body to open up to release unconditional love for all of humanity.
  4. As you close by saying, Thank you imagine a wave of gratitude flowing through you cleansing and clearing a path for people to come together as One.

If you would like to do a bit more this weekend, Anita is offering two free movement experiences as a way to become Living Prayer and to release some of our collective grief as we move together and condemn the acts of violence that took life from #GeorgeFloyd #BreonnaTaylor #AhmaudArbery and countless others.

Reach out if you want the Zoom link so that you can dance your prayers! Both are Free and all are welcome.

All offerings will be based on the Ho-oponopono
