Balance Through Healthy Living
I received my masters in Nutrition and Acupuncture in 1998 from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. I opened a private practice in Collegeville, Pennsylvania where I practiced for three years before moving my practice to Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. I also worked at Steiner Medical and Therapeutic Center, an integrative medical office, for four years working with doctors, physical therapists, and massage therapists. There I treated patients with acute and chronic pain, allergies and food sensitivities, cancer, infertility, high blood pressure and cholesterol, weight loss and smoking cessation.
In 2005, I married and moved to the Pocono region but continued to practice in Phoenixville two days per week until June 2006. At that time I started working with a local, beloved acupuncturist, Eva Berend, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. I was able to work in her office and to learn from her for six months before opening Wellspring East in January 2007.
In 2003, I decided that it was important to deepen my personal yoga practice and began a year long certification program at Yoga Living in Devon, Pennsylvania. I studied Hatha yoga with a concentration in yoga philosophy. Upon completion of my certification I started teaching vinyasa flow and pre-natal yoga classes. In March 2006, I held my first yoga class at Wellspring Holistic Center. I continue to deepen my own practice through self study in vinyasa flow, yin yoga, and meditation.
