Our lives are so busy with our professions, our families, our communities, and our many other distractions that pull at us every minute of every day…even in our sleep. Mine is no different… but I have found over the years going back to 1978, that coming to my mat for a few minutes of stretching, breathing, and quiet a few times a week or even a month, keeps me whole. Since I began teaching in 2005, I have had the honor of watching many students become stronger and healthier because they started coming to their mats.
I was trained in Spanda Yoga by Jaime Stover Schmitt (Every Woman’s Yoga) in 2004 and received my Relax and Renew Level 1 certification from Judith Lasater in 2007. I have had many great teachers influence me including Michele Megargle, Louise Bowman, David Swenson, Sean Corne, John Friend, and Patricia Walden.
I think that my greatest joy is helping someone who has lost their strength because of illness or age become strong again from the inside out…and then do so much more. |
